About Me

I grew up in Ashley and after completing my first degree in Management Studies and Spanish I worked in the retail sector and had my own business in Altrincham.  A few years later, and with a growing passion for alternative medicine I decided on a change of direction, and a return to University education to study acupuncture.  I graduated from Salford University in 2006 with a first class honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture), and I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council. The British Acupuncture Council is the leading body for traditional acupuncturists, and is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, assuring the public of the stringent guidelines and high standards in professional practice. After graduating I also spent time in China, at the 1st Teaching Hospital, University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin.  The experience of seeing acupuncture used in a hospital setting alongside Western Medicine, as well as a stand alone treatment was truly inspiring and gave me an invaluable insight into this incredible healthcare system.
